- Support the OR Coordinator in the facilitation of the operating room area, onboarding, hiring process, employee supervision and staffing.
- Monitors performance/attendance and communicates to OR Coordinator to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all supervised positions.
- Efficiently manages day-to-day workflow of the operating room areas (i.e. staffing, supply management, etc.)
- Acts as a resource person to all levels of staff providing care to patients during their operative procedures.
- Assesses staff needs according to workload and staff competency; re-assigns and adjusts staffing based on patient care needs.
- Provides assistance to OR Coordinator and staff to facilitate quality patient care.
- Assists with QI, infection control, and regulatory programs as requested by the OR Coordinator.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Completion of an accredited post-secondary training program in nursing is required.
Experience: One year of experience in orthopedic surgery required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Computer
Skills:
Must be computer literate. Basic computer skills required.
Certifications & Licenses: Current Tennessee RN license or current RN license from a Multi-state licensure compact required. BLS and ACLS required and must be maintained.
PALS preferred. If not presently certified, must be obtained within one year of hire.
