American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I Trauma experience and a TN or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center
- Short term acute care hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- 13-week assignment length
- On-call responsibilities as needed
- Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
- Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
- Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required
- No pending licensure accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required, 3+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Large hospital experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- ADN accepted for this position
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall during the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 holidays if only two occur during the assignment
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates with at least 3+ years of recent experience may be considered as an exception to the first-time traveler restriction
- Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Former travelers who completed a full year assignment must wait 1 full year before returning
- Weekend block scheduling may be considered and can be discussed during the interview
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as RTO submitted after an offer will not be honored
