Germantown Hardware- Rentals & Shop Cashier; Part-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Front Counter Cashier – Rentals & Equipment to join our team. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service at the register, processing sales transactions, handling rental equipment checkouts and returns, and creating service tickets when items are dropped off. The ideal candidate will be comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment.

Must be available to work 8 a.m.

- 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

• Operate the cash register to process customer purchases quickly and accurately
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
• Process equipment rentals, ensuring all forms and documentation are complete
• Create and manage service tickets for items dropped off for repair or servicing
• Maintain accurate records of rental and return transactions
• Answer customer inquiries about products, pricing, rentals, and returns
• Handle payments, issue receipts, and count back change
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout and rental area
• Follow company policies and safety procedures at all times

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using Point of Sales systems and basic computer functions
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy setting
• Must be dependable and punctual
