Homemaker Caregiver

Provides homemaker (caregiver) services to individuals in their place of residence and assists them in maintaining their home.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.

We have mandatory background checks and pre-employment drug swab testing.

Qualifications:

• Meets competency requirements.
• Speaks, writes, reads, and comprehends oral and written instruction.
• Able to lift, push, and pull light to moderate loads.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Household management-light housekeeping such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, ironing, wash dishes, change linen and makes bed.
• Run errands.
• Purchase and store groceries.
• Meal preparation and menu planning.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to the client and family.
• Maintain required competency and skills.
• Reports any changes in the client's condition or family situation immediately by calling the office/supervisor.
• Practices universal precautions according to OSHA regulations and agency policy and procedures.
• Attends at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education programs or approved audiovisuals per calendar year.
• Document all patient-client related activities in a timely manner.

Physical demands:

Able to lift, move, and pull light to heavy loads. May do heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling, up to 25 pounds.

Licenses and certifications:

• Current driver's license.
• Current automobile liability insurance according to company policy & procedure.
• State certificate if applicable.
• CPR preferred.
