Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has a great Sr. Manufacturing Engineer position available at a company in Germantown, WI. This is a direct hire role. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and drive new product development projects. This senior position requires strategic thinking, project management skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coach or lead PDCA problem-solving to drive zone improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of Lean manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and flow in the zone.
  • Coach and lead process improvement teams on analysis and implementation while maintaining documentation to eliminate non-value-added processes.
  • Define critical project criteria and plans to recommend process improvements with payback justifications.
  • Work with zones to support improvements from the top down; mentor associates driving improvements from the bottom up.
  • Develop technical competency in areas of specialization.
  • Research, test, and implement the latest manufacturing technologies to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Share knowledge and support other engineers and technicians on more complex problems or improvements.
  • Work with the entire team to standardize and share company and industry best practices.

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • New Product Introduction and Launch skills.
  • Experience with Automation and Robotics in manufacturing settings.
  • Strong leadership, communicator, innovator, intelligent risk taker.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suites and CAD software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Additional certifications in manufacturing encouraged.
  • 8-15 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 5+ years of new product development experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years of assembly and automation experience is preferred.
