Social Service Aide
The Adams County Children and Youth agency is seeking a dedicated and organized Social Service Aide to assist youth as they are transitioning toward adulthood. This role provides hands-on support, transportation services, life-skills instruction, and administrative coordination to help youth successfully reach their IL goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide dependable transportation for youth to classes, activities, and Independent Living related appointments.
- Support preparation, facilitation, and curriculum updates for life-skill classes, activities, and one on one IL instruction.
- Assist youth in navigating community resources and state programs.
- Prepare Renter's Program (PREP) curriculum and training materials.
- Develop, maintain, and serves as a point of contact for community partner who wish to donate to the program.
- Provide backup administrative duties when IL office assistant is unavailable.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about empowering youth, highly organized, and comfortable balancing direct support with administrative duties.
Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with a 1/2 hours unpaid lunch. It is a full time, 40 hrs per week, benefit eligible position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Compensation will be determined by education and experience as outlined in the job description, but will not be less than $15.63 / hour
