Stage Business Controller

Business Controller - East Flanders (Lokeren or Antwerp)

We are looking for a  Business Controller  to join a highly ambitious, technology-driven organisation operating in the industrial automation and robotics space. This is a hands-on, analytical role where finance is fully embedded in the core of operations, projects, and production.

You will act as a key financial partner to operational and engineering teams, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all financial processes.

In this role, you will take ownership of financial performance within a dynamic industrial environment, including:
Preparing and maintaining  financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow planning
Performing detailed  variance analysis (actuals vs budget/forecast) and identifying risks & opportunities
Monitoring  project and operational costs  , accruals, and financial performance throughout the month
Developing and maintaining  financial KPIs and dashboards  to support decision-making
Ensuring accuracy of financial data, master data, and reporting systems
Contributing to continuous improvement of financial tools, systems, and processes

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or similar
Strong experience in  budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting
Comfortable working with ERP systems and advanced Excel
Ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
Fluent in  English and Dutch
