Local Delivery Driver (CDL w/Hazmat) – Giddings, TX

Giddings, TX – Retail shop

Pay: $28 per hour. Bonus potential.

Work schedule:

As an Airgas Delivery Driver, you will operate a straight or box truck to safely deliver compressed gas cylinders, manage the flow of cylinders, build customer relationships, and support warehouse operations. You will be part of a supportive team encouraging personal growth.

• Cylinder handling: load, deliver, and unload cylinders safely.
• Record keeping: accurately record deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and return empty or rejected cylinders to plant.
• Safety and compliance: adhere to Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA regulations.
• Warehouse support: assist in warehouse or dock as needed.

• Valid Texas Class A or B commercial driver's license.
• Valid medical examiner's card.
• Hazmat and Airbrake certifications.
• One year of professional Class A driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions, or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years, or one conviction and one at‑fault accident).
• Alternatively, a diploma from an accredited driving school and at least one year of driving experience within the last five years is acceptable.
• Age 21 or older.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs routinely, and occasionally 76–125 lbs with equipment.
• Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Forklift operator certification required.
