Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a business based in Gig Harbor, Washington. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and keeping transactions organized. The person in this role will contribute to smooth financial workflows by handling payables, receivables, reconciliations, and Quick Books-based bookkeeping tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records by entering, reviewing, and organizing daily bookkeeping transactions in Quick Books.

- Process vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accounts payable activity is recorded correctly and on schedule.

- Track incoming payments, apply receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances to support effective accounts receivable management.

- Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Review financial data for completeness and accuracy, correcting errors and keeping documentation well organized.

- Support routine reporting needs by preparing up-to-date account information and transaction summaries for review.

- Assist with maintaining orderly accounting processes and contribute to improvements in day-to-day financial administration. Requirements - Proven experience performing hands-on bookkeeping duties in a detail-oriented business environment.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence using it for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.

- Strong organizational skills and a careful, methodical approach to maintaining records.
