What you’ll do
  • Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.
  • Implement and uphold safety standards on all job sites, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports and financial forecasts.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Mentor and train junior project managers and team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Utilize project management software and tools to track project milestones and deliverables effectively.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately for future reference.
  • Participate in post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management in construction projects.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
Nice to have
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Washington State.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse teams and clients.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a construction firm.
