Part Time Childcare Educator - Peninsula School District

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students!

Peninsula School District - Gig Harbor, WA

$18-20/hr (based on education and experience)

Both shifts required for the Educator role. If you prefer more flexibility, substitute positions are available.

• Before School Shift: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 5:45am-9am and Wed 5:45am-10am
• After School:
  Mon-Fri 3:15pm-6pm

• Daily Program Meetings:
  Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily
  
  Activities:
  
  Prepare activities and curriculum, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example:
  Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals with positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy:
  Monitor environment, address hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communication:
  Effective communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills
• Excellent teamwork
• At least 1 year experience with children under 13 (preferred)
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed

• Meet state‑specific requirements
• First Aid and CPR (in-person)
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Food Handlers Card
• Proof of MMR
• 18+ years of age
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required
• Background Check with fingerprinting
