Recess Coach

Recess Coach reports to the School Resource Manager. This is a non-exempt position starting August 2026.

Qualifications:

• Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church.
• Accepts and supports the school's statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God's direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Positive and patient attitude.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement.
• Ability to perform job requirements (ie. standing for extended time).
• 1-2 years of experience with school aged children, preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during the assigned recess.
• Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective and calm course of action.
• Facilitates positive, productive interactions during recess including conflict-resolution.
• Ability to properly administer first aid if necessary.
• Maintain recess equipment.
• Reports discipline issues to administration in a timely and clear manner.
• Participate in meetings, devotions, professional learning community and Inservice as required.
• Maintain consistent, punctual attendance.

Work Requirements:

• Part time, non-exempt position based upon the school year calendar.
• Hourly wage as outlined in the annual at-will employment letter.

Hours:

11:10-1:15 Monday-Friday, with occasional additional hours for meetings.
