• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (national/state credentials preferred)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
• Prior experience interpreting within educational settings, preferably K-12

• Flexibility to adapt to diverse classroom needs and varying student abilities

• Facilitate effective communication between students, staff, and peers using sign language in academic and school-related settings
• Interpret classroom lessons, discussions, assemblies, and extracurricular activities as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to support student inclusion and engagement
• Provide language support for both group instruction and one-on-one interactions
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding student information
• Stay current on best practices and attend relevant team meetings or trainings when scheduled
