Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly

Position Type: Part Time

Position Title: PA for Youth Ministry - Community Ambassador & Volunteer Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Youth Ministry

Status: Part-Time

Position Purpose

The Community Ambassador & Volunteer Coordinator supports the mission of the youth ministry by cultivating relationships, expanding ministry visibility, and developing a strong volunteer culture. This role helps connect parishioners with youth ministry opportunities through communications, outreach, and volunteer recruitment and support.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communications & Outreach
    • Manage youth ministry communications including social media, parish website updates, and bulletin content.
    • Serve as a visible presence at parish Masses and events to share youth ministry opportunities with families and parishioners.
  • Volunteer Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Recruit volunteers for youth ministry roles through personal outreach and parish participation.
    • Coordinate onboarding processes, including paperwork, Safe Environment compliance, and clear expectations.
  • Volunteer Support & Retention
    • Support ongoing communication with volunteers and assist in organizing volunteer check-ins and recognition.
    • Help facilitate volunteer training and orientation in collaboration with the Director.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with volunteer recruitment, outreach, or communications.
  • Familiarity with social media and parish communication channels.
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.
  • Compliance with Safe Environment requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with volunteer training or formation.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
