Position OverviewThe IT Surfacing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that outgoing IT equipment meets visual quality control standards. This includes ensuring product cleanliness and performing resurfacing when necessary. This role is essential for maintaining the high-quality standards of our refurbished products.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect outgoing IT equipment to ensure it meets visual quality control standards.
- Clean and polish equipment to ensure it is free of dust, smudges, and other imperfections.
- Perform resurfacing tasks as needed to restore the appearance of IT equipment.
- Document the condition and any resurfacing work performed on each item.
- Collaborate with the repair and refurbishment teams to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Report any recurring quality issues to the management team for further investigation and resolution.
- Stay informed about best practices and new techniques in IT equipment resurfacing.
- Assist with other quality control tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in quality control or IT refurbishment is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, IT equipment refurbishment, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using cleaning and resurfacing tools and equipment.
- High level of integrity and dedication to maintaining high standards of product quality.
