Viasat is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to support our explosive growth in which Viasat has evolved into a premier global satellite communications provider.

The Senior Corporate Accountant will be a key member of the General Ledger team by assisting in the overall month-end close process for the company. You will be responsible for managing various account balances, preparing month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance explanations, assessing the proper GAAP accounting treatment for significant transactions, and working on one-off projects. You will also interface with external and internal auditors and assist in preparation of certain audit schedules, SEC supporting schedules and/or internal management reports.

• 3-5+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word
• Strong written and oral communication skills that enables clear communications to all levels of management
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

• Big 4 Public Accounting Experience
• CPA Certification
• Experience working in an enterprise ERP system (ie. Oracle, SAP)

$79,000.00 - $ / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $97,500.00 - $ / annually

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
