Accounts Receivable Specialist

Metro Fire + Security is a full‑service fire protection company that has been serving Arizona since 1972.

• Manage and document communication with all customers via phone and email to ensure payments are made in a timely manner
• Provide customer service regarding collections issues, processing of customer refunds, processing and reviewing adjustments, and resolving customer discrepancies
• Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
• Develop effective repayment plans
• Follow‑up with customers on overdue accounts
• Assist in the cash application process
• Process payments and refunds
• Respond to client account queries in a timely and professional manner
• Document all interactions with customers in the financial system
• Cross‑train to cover other billing duties and positions within accounting department
• Attend all staff meetings
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required

• High School Diploma/ GED
• 2+ years prior, relevant work experience
• Ability to work Monday – Friday
• Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High precision/ detail oriented
• Meticulous, focused, and analytical
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information

• Capable of staying on task and completing task with minimal supervision
• Desire and ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Experience working in Profit Zoom and Paylocity
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
