Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site controller role based in Gilbert, AZ. The controller will oversee and manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include generating financial reports, overseeing payroll, and supervising accounts payable and receivable activities. Additionally, the controller will analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and contribute to process improvements that enhance the company’s financial health and efficiency.
The role will include product and job costing, tracking the P&L of each department and controlling margin in all departments. The controller will be required maintain audit-ready GAAP financials, navigate our ERP software (ODOO) implementation currently underway, oversee chart of accounts, monitor sales tax nexus obligations and track EBITDA.
- Strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Must have manufacturing experience and managing several P&L's
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- Job costing experience-must have tracked costing at both the project and department level
- Multi-entity or multi-division P&L Experience, able to produce separate financials for different departments
- Maintain updated inventory financials
- Month-end close experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification preferred, not required
- Experience in the automotive or custom manufacturing industries is a plus
