Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, motivated General Service Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and basic repair services while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works efficiently, and takes pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced automotive repair environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance services, including:
- Oil and filter changes.
- Tire rotations and repairs.
- Tire mounting and balancing.
- Battery testing and replacement.
- Wiper blade replacement.
- Air filter and cabin filter replacement.
- Fluid inspections and top-offs.
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.
- Recommend maintenance and repair needs to service advisors through detailed inspection reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
- Operate shop equipment safely, including lifts, tire machines, and balancing equipment.
- Assist senior technicians with repairs as needed.
- Ensure vehicles are treated with care and returned to customers in excellent condition.
- Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards.
- Comply with all safety regulations and shop policies.
- Previous automotive maintenance experience preferred, but entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).
- Basic understanding of automotive systems.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- ASE G1 or other ASE certifications (preferred but not required).
- Experience with digital vehicle inspections.
- Experience using shop management software.
- Familiarity with TPMS service and tire repair procedures.
