Middle Mile Performance Manager (MMPM), Amazon Transportation Services (ATS)

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) manages best‑in‑class surface transportation programs for our internal and external customers, connecting vendors, fulfillment centers, sort centers, air gateways, USPS, and final‑mile delivery stations. ATS is seeking a Middle Mile Performance Manager to help develop a world‑class logistics process that delivers goods on time at the best cost. Our team focuses on freight flowing through North American transportation networks, specifically transportation carrier programs and performance, and prioritizes the 3P Relay carrier experience.

• Collaborate on the design, development, and delivery of key programs, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions across customer‑facing programs.
• Strategically assess how Linehaul most efficiently serves each program to identify opportunities and align with stakeholders to insert Linehaul into the program decision‑making processes.
• Influence third‑party carrier leadership and Amazon technology teams to identify and drive process improvements that improve service, iterate technology, and enhance carrier engagement and growth.
• Analyze data across databases (using Excel, Access, SQL, Quicksight, and/or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Candidates must show an ability to think analytically and use data to drive results.
• Identify appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability.
• Tie KPIs and project goals to entitlement and track results.
• Business writing is required to drive strategic initiatives. Work samples that display a candidate’s ability to think strategically should be submitted.
• Travel domestically 25%–50%.

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 4+ years of supply chain experience.
• Associated degree (Bachelor’s).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, data links, etc.).
• Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions.
• 3+ years of driving end‑to‑end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
• 3+ years of driving process improvements.
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
• Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
• Experience with Six Sigma / Lean analytical techniques.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
