Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Office Manager

The job of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Office Manager is done for the purpose of coordinating and supporting department operations, assigned programs, systems, and strategic initiatives; providing specialized technical and administrative expertise to department leadership; serving as a liaison among district departments, schools, parents, and outside agencies; maintaining department records and operational systems; and ensuring the effective implementation of departmental processes in compliance with district requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates assigned department programs, projects, systems, and operational processes for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations, meeting established timelines, maintaining compliance, and supporting departmental goals.
  • Provides specialized administrative, technical, and operational support to department leadership and the Teaching & Learning Department Executive Assistant for the purpose of supporting strategic initiatives, daily operations, and department priorities.
  • Compiles, analyzes, maintains, and reports data and records (e.g., financial information, inventories, department databases, program documentation, contracts, and operational records) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy, compliance, and informed decision-making.
  • Coordinates department financial and operational activities (e.g., purchasing, budgeting, contracts, inventory management, resource allocation, and related processes) for the purpose of supporting efficient and compliant department operations.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains department procedures, publications, communications, and operational resources for the purpose of promoting consistency, improving efficiency, and providing accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Serves as a liaison among district departments, schools, vendors, and community partners for the purpose of coordinating activities, resolving operational issues, and facilitating effective communication.
  • Researches, monitors, and recommends improvements to department processes, programs, and operational practices for the purpose of increasing efficiency, supporting compliance, and advancing departmental objectives.
  • Coordinates special projects and performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of supporting changing department priorities and ensuring the successful implementation of district initiatives.

Other Functions:

  • Assists department leadership and other personnel as needed for the purpose of supporting departmental operations and organizational effectiveness.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of supporting the overall mission of the Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Department.

    - Level D Specialized vocational or technical knowledge providing a command of certain technical, administrative, and/or operative practices and techniques. Learning development involves the completion of a formal technical/vocational curriculum often resulting in a degree.

    - Level 1 Minimal physical exertion is required. Most job time is spent sitting with occasional walking. Occasional lifting, guiding, and carrying of lightweight materials or equipment.

    - Level B Job requires patience in communication and well-developed verbal skills to exchange technical or complex information with individuals or small, informal groups. Skills in establishing harmonious relationships and gaining cooperation are important.

    - Level 2 Interpersonal contacts extend to peers in other work groups, or to clients/customers who speak the language, either within or outside the organization. Interactions with higher levels of authority beyond immediate supervisor must be conducted on an intermittent basis.
