Site Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements of the company
• Maintain appropriate safety records
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion
• Investigate incidents and complete necessary reports
• Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors for non-compliance with safety requirements
• Conduct safety meetings/jobsite reviews as part of coordination meetings
• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Conduct orientation and jobsite specific training
• Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on site
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
• OSHA 30 Hour card
• Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development.
