Job Purpose:

Assist in the management and successful delivery of Parks and Recreation construction projects from award through completion. Through collaboration with the Estimator, Project Superintendent, Specialty Superintendent, General Superintendent, and Division Manager, this role coordinates project activities, supports field operations, and helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update project schedules.
  • Coordinate weekly scheduling meetings and distribute minutes.
  • Review job costs, quantities, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Audit timecards, equipment usage, and field receipts.
  • Track material quantities, yields, and resolve variances.
  • Prepare daily cost and production reports.
  • Draft project correspondence and documentation.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Become familiar with project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare and track submittals and project documentation.
  • Obtain required permits and approvals.
  • Set up and distribute project startup documentation.
  • Attend pre-planning, pre-construction, and project meetings.
  • Develop construction schedules and cash flow reports.
  • Process change orders, force accounts, and back charges.
  • Assist with project closeout, as-builts, and job cost history.
  • Prepare project progress estimates.
  • Conduct regular site visits.
  • Support estimating through takeoffs, research, and vendor coordination.
  • Learn and utilize the Hard$ estimating system.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Suretrak (Primavera), and Prolog.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • General knowledge of heavy civil construction operations and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Ability to visualize 3D construction from 2D drawings.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and practices.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and project demands.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and project requirements.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree; AND/OR
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in related field; OR
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
