Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a variety of dance styles to students of all ages and skill levels. Your primary goal will be to create a positive and engaging learning environment while instilling a love for dance in your students.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement dance lesson plans that align with students' interests and abilities
- Teach various dance styles, including but not limited to ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary
- Provide clear instruction and demonstrations to help students understand and perform dance techniques correctly
- Guide students in choreography and dance routines for performances
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to organize and coordinate dance events, showcases, and recitals
- Stay updated on current dance trends, techniques, and teaching methods to enhance your instruction
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable expressing themselves through dance
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to address questions, concerns, and provide updates on students' progress
- Proven experience as a Dance Instructor, with expertise in various dance styles
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques, terminology, and choreography
- Ability to effectively teach and communicate dance concepts to students of all ages and skill levels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for dance
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend classes, rehearsals, and performances
- CPR and First Aid certifications (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Dance or a related field (preferred)
