The Kids Pastor will lead kids in their next steps on their journey with Jesus. They will work to reach and engage families in the community and will recruit, develop, and equip volunteer leaders. This role creates an exciting and engaging kid ministry environment on the campus and supports campus-wide efforts as needed. The position also manages the Central Kids Baptism process for all campuses.
The individual must fit within our collaborative culture and build teams that represent the campus and the community in gender, ethnicity, and age. The role moves forward the mission and values of Central Christian Church, which include Jesus First, People Always, and Made for More. The pastor will immerse themselves in our staff leadership culture of Jesus First, Same Team, Make It Better, Feedback Matters, Give It Away, and Healthy Hustle.
- Community engagement

- Manage communication between Kids Team and Campus Pastor
- Weekend ministry leadership and implementation

- Developing small group activities
- Develop, maintain and grow partnerships with families, school administrators and organizations
- Support the Campus Pastor in campus leadership and community outreach efforts
- Develop, implement and maintain Central Kids Social Media platforms and strategy
- Work with the Central Kids Programming Pastor on marketing and promotion of events and weekend content
- Develop, implement and maintain Central Kids texting system
- Training Central Kids Pastors to respond and communicate to parents through the system
- Setting up keywords for parents to respond to
- Cleaning & Facilities
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of all Kids Ministry spaces to ensure a welcoming environment
- Perform routine cleaning tasks (trash, dusting, sanitizing toys, windows, countertops)
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop weekly and after services, events, or meetings
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed
- Leadership Development

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger‑handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to twenty‑five pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
