Position Overview
Certified Student & Teacher Support/ Instructional Coach – 9‑month exempt full‑time contract (1.0 FTE). Salary: $54,335 and up depending on experience.

. Applies online. Applicants must hold an Arizona Teaching Certificate or be in the process of receiving one and possess a Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to processing.
- Recognize diverse needs of teachers and provide individual and group support.
- Implement coaching cycles with face‑to‑face coaching, co‑teaching, feedback and follow‑up meetings.
- Actively listen to teachers to identify needs, providing individualized feedback focused on strengths and growth opportunities.
- Ensure clear and equitable procedures for teachers to access instructional supports.
- Assist teachers in gathering, analyzing classroom assessment data to determine student needs.
- Help teachers use data to design clear, logical, sequential, standards‑based instruction.
- Provide learning opportunities that connect coaching with curriculum, instructional planning, the GPS Instructional Framework and campus initiatives.
- Model and support teacher implementation of high‑yield strategies focusing on learning goals and daily targets to improve growth and proficiency.
- Provide follow‑up coaching after professional learning sessions.
- Assist campus leadership in setting meaningful instructional goals, including success criteria.
- Offer frequent opportunities for teachers to reflect on goal setting, progress and needed adjustments.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt school culture to improve outcomes.
- Support reflective practices through the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) process.
- Foster a coaching environment of trust, safety and accessibility that encourages teachers to take risks and learn.
- Solicit teacher feedback and adjust coaching support as needed.
- Lead implementation of state requirements for Mathematics Non‑Proficiency Notification to families of 6‑8 grade students and campus literacy plan (K‑6).
- Collaborate with campus improvement and intervention teams.
- Attend district trainings and meetings as scheduled.
- Assist other personnel in completing their work activities.
Mental Requirements – Knowledge in a recognized professional field or technological discipline sufficient to command principles, facts and practical applications; a bachelor’s degree in a specialized field, plus advanced mathematics or language development.
Problem‑Solving – Ability to interpret situations and choose effective responses; solutions based on prior learning.
Physical Requirements – Basic coordination and occasional lifting of lightweight materials; work is largely seated.
Social Requirements – Patience in communication, strong verbal skills, ability to establish harmonious relationships.
Work Environment – Occasional exposure to noise, temperature extremes and safety hazards.
Experience, Education, and Certifications5+ years teaching experience; coaching experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Arizona Teaching Certificate required;
Reading and Math endorsements preferred.
