UACE Greenlee County Horticulture Program Assistant

Members assist with development and delivery of youth and adult gardening programs in Greenlee County. Works as a team member with horticulture and nutrition staff.

Member Duties
  • Assist with horticulture programs for schools, community groups, and workshop participants, including logistics, presentations, volunteer coordination, video production, and collecting evaluations.
  • Develop functioning school, community, and demonstration gardens, ensuring lasting infrastructure for education of gardeners and garden managers.
  • Assist with school garden program support, providing teacher training and assistance for hands‑on garden sessions.
  • Assist with the development of public gardens, providing on‑site educational opportunities with hands‑on workshops.
  • Coordinate, train, and supervise volunteers in UACE Greenlee's field trials and Pumpkin Patch.
  • Promote and document the home‑test gardens program.
  • Explore and coordinate partnering opportunities with other seed libraries and related organizations.
  • Maintain file of photo releases and student data for school garden programs.
