New Hire Education$1,250 for advanced degrees + $80/hour of graduate level credits: BA +96 hours max, MA +96 hours max, $500 for additional advanced degrees beyond Master's
Job GoalThe Classroom Teacher guides students toward achieving their full potential by transforming district curriculum standards into engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Through effective instruction and specialized assignments, the teacher promotes academic growth and personal development. Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education required to obtain AZ Teaching Certification
- Appropriately Certified for teaching position: AZ Teaching Certificate
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- SEI endorsement coursework completed
- K-5 Literacy endorsement
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
- Communicates learning goals to students in a well‑planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
- Prepares and delivers instruction appropriate to the student population, including curriculum that addresses learning styles, abilities, interests, behavior problems, and students with special needs
- Creates lesson plans describing daily learning experiences correlated with approved curriculum and State and District standards
- Uses available technology to enhance learning
- Uses district and state assessment data to improve instruction and places students in appropriate instructional and intervention programs
- Facilitates instruction based on current research‑based best practices
- Effectively implements Individual Education Plans
- Establishes classroom routines to promote a positive environment conducive to effective instruction
- Participates in team reviews concerning the academic progress of low‑performing students
- Documents and resolves issues related to student behavior problems and attendance
- Reflects on teaching and strives to improve professional competence
- Assumes legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school‑sponsored activities
- Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Maintains accurate, complete, legible, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
- Participates in the intervention process at sites
- Participates in school‑wide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences
- Participates in school and District initiatives
- Assumes individual responsibilities which may be assigned by the principal/supervisor and which may relate to committee work, student activities, student supervision, or other planning and professional assignments
- Meets any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the District or school site
