Salary: $55,578 per year

• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
• Maintain effective and efficient record‑keeping procedures.
• Provide a positive environment encouraging student engagement in the learning process.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
• Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
• Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and schools.
• Assume responsibility for meeting course and school‑wide student performance goals.
• Demonstrate gains in student performance.
• Participate in professional growth training.
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold valid Arizona Teacher Certification with an approved area/endorsement as needed for the position.
• Must be appropriately certified in the subject area of the position at time of hire.
• Must have SEI or an equivalent endorsement on the certificate, or be able to obtain it within six (6) months of hire.
• Must have a Music endorsement.
• No convictions for felonies or crimes against children.
• Valid IVP Finger Print Clearance Card.

Performing duties requires regularly talking and hearing, frequent use of hands to manipulate objects or tools, standing, walking, bending and sitting, occasional climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling and lifting up to 10 pounds, sometimes up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity required for close vision and adjustment of focus.

Noise level is usually moderate. The work environment is typical of a school setting. The office works as part of the Arizona State Retirement System with a defined benefit plan providing lifelong monthly retirement income for qualified members.
