Position: Teacher - GPS Certification Pathway - SPED - Mild / Moderate K-12

Instructions for Elementary

Qualifications
  • Potential candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a non-teaching based area and have been fingerprinted by the start of the program in order to obtain an alternative teaching certificate.
  • Program candidates must follow a 199 day work calendar and must be available for the entirety of the extended calendar.
    Work days are 7/13/2026 - 5/28/2027.
  • Program completion results in a GPS institutional recommendation for a teaching certificate in the State of Arizona only, not transferable to other states.
  • Program participants will be asked to make a two year commitment to GPS working as a teacher beyond program completion, with the goal of GPS building a relationship with each teacher that spans their whole career.
