Instructional Assistant

The job of Instructional Assistant is done for the purpose of working with individual and/or small groups of students under the supervision of a certificated teacher in the supervision and instruction of students; and providing clerical support to teacher/s and staff. Essential functions include assisting students with lesson assignments, implementing instructional programs and lesson plans, maintaining classroom equipment and records, monitoring students in various settings, and performing general record keeping and clerical functions.

Other functions may include assisting other personnel and attending meetings and in-service presentations.

Job requirements include sufficient mental development equivalent to completion of a high school curriculum, basic physical skill, and ordinary conversational skills. The work environment is generally good with little exposure to hazards.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Certifications/Clearances:
Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while employed.

Non Exempt. Pay

Hourly - Grade 101. Work Calendar:
Support 9 Month.
