Secondary​/Secondary Math Guide – Part Time

Overview

San Tan Montessori School is seeking a passionate part time middle and high school math guide for the 2026/2027 school year. This role will focus on small group teaching to various math levels, from 7th grade through pre-calculus.

Location:

San Tan Montessori School, Recker Campus, Morrison Ranch Community. Gilbert, Arizona.

• Montessori Expectations:
  Develop engaging lessons, facilitate hands-on projects, and encourage exploration and deep thinking about the world through a Montessori lens. Montessori framework and coaching will be provided.
• Foster Independent Learners:
  Guide students in creating and managing their work plans and reflections. Help them develop the skills to set goals, take responsibility for their work, and reflect on their learning journey.
• Mentor and Support:
  Understand the adolescent developmental stage and provide a nurturing environment that encourages self-discovery, collaboration, and growth.
• Collaborative Teaching:
  Work closely with the other adolescent teachers to offer a well-rounded curriculum and foster a balanced, interdisciplinary curriculum and community.
• Love and Logic Principles:
  Experience with or an openness to implementing Love and Logic techniques in a Montessori setting to guide students toward independence and accountability.
• Strong Communication

  Effective communication with students, families, and colleagues is crucial.

• Bachelors Degree in education, mathematics, or related field
• Must hold a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Passing of State Certificate Testing
• Arizona State Teachers Certificate or Equivalent
• Willingness to follow a Montessori model of education
• Master’s Degree in specialized area
• Montessori Certification
• Three years of classroom experience
