AMI Metering Services Coordinator – City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department
The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is seeking qualified individuals for a regular, full‑time AMI Metering Services Coordinator position. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and includes a benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the subject‑matter expert for the utility’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system.
- Coordinate, analyze, and evaluate the water metering infrastructure and data to enhance system performance and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and support AMI system activities, including data collection, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience combining meter reading and customer service, including experience with utility billing or related software.
- Obtain an ADEQ Grade 2 Water Distribution Certification within one year of hire.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Other combinations of experience and training that demonstrate the necessary knowledge and abilities.
- Prior experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems.
- Experience with advanced metering and water audit responsibilities.
- Experience leading teams or projects.
