Intelligent Transportation Systems Analyst

The Intelligent Transportation Systems Analyst reports to the Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer. The primary duties of this position include:
- Plan, program, and maintain the traffic signal network and ITS equipment.
- Conduct field inspections and make field adjustments.
- Configure and maintain the operation of the Town of Gilbert's Traffic Signal/ITS systems.
- Review traffic control plans and implement them using ITS equipment and software.
- Maintain and troubleshoot ITS databases, workstations, and servers for the Traffic Operations Center and the Town of Gilbert Traffic Signal Systems.
- Conduct traffic engineering studies using traffic counts to determine appropriate traffic control devices.
- Monitor traffic conditions and make traffic signal timing changes.

This position is an at-will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt – eligible for overtime compensation.

- Associate's degree or Two-Year Technical Certificate in Traffic Engineering or Electrical Theory.
- 5 years of experience in Traffic Engineering or Traffic Signal Construction and Maintenance.
- 3 years of experience in electronics or electrical theory.
- 2 years of experience in fiber optic communications.
- IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification.
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector.
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician, Field Level 2.
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician, Construction Level 2.
- IMSA Fiber Optic Technician Level 2.
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 3 (within 1 year).
- IMSA Transportation Center System Specialist Level 1 (within 1 year).
- Arizona Driver's License.

This position works onsite full-time and has been designated as a Medium work position that spends much of its workday outdoors with some office work.
