What You Will DoYou will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing manufacturing processes and methods required for a premier HVAC manufacturing facility. Key duties include overseeing and managing large capital projects that increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and/or improve product quality. You will develop and implement manufacturing engineering department standards and policies, and provide training, coaching, and support across the organization.
HowYou Will Do It
- Process engineering change requests.
- Troubleshoot production problems.
- Assist in trouble‑shooting assembly and fabrication equipment.
- Optimize workstation layout.
- Justify, specify, and manage capital projects and equipment.
- Introduce new products (BOM scrubbing, manufacturing trial lots, assist in training, and work with design engineering on production issues related to design for manufacturing).
- Create and maintain bill of materials and routings for assembly and fabrication.
- Support and/or lead lean projects.
- Set operational objectives and deliver results that directly impact operational goals.
- Define and explain practices, standards, and policies to internal stakeholders.
- Adapt or enhance quality or value in existing methods as part of day‑to‑day activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related manufacturing discipline.
- At least 6+ years of manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering experience.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles (material flow, material presentation, process flow, workstation design).
- Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline, integrating theory and principles with organizational practices.
