At NMG our Quality Interns/Co-Ops the position is designed to provide a hands-on contribution to the Quality team while learning valuable skills and developing attributes to become successful within this business function. All duties will be under the direction of the Quality Manager/Engineer.
Job Summary:
The position is designed to provide a hands-on contribution to the Quality team while learning valuable skills and developing attributes to become successful within this business function. All duties will be under the direction of the Quality Manager/Engineer.
Essential Job Functions- Collect data to support statistical analysis (i.e., capability studies, gauge R&R, etc.).
- Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate and document Design or Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
- Develop/revise Quality System documents as directed.
- Perform process audits to documented instructions.
- Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, company wide.
- Other duties, reporting, special assignments or projects as needed and assigned.
- Must remain current with and complete all required training as assigned.
- Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word capabilities
- Must have a cooperative, outgoing, and inquisitive personality
- Must be willing to submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with NMG Aerospace (i.e., drug screen, background check, eye exam, hearing exam, etc.) and any subsequent testing required for the position during employment.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or shop floor to access work supplies, tools, machinery, etc.
- Junior or higher status pursuing a Technical or Business degree
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
