Senior Electrical Estimator

Overview

Senior Electrical Estimator to join the MEP team. Role supports a diverse portfolio of large, high-impact projects across multiple sectors with the possibility to be remote within the United States, ideally near a Cumming Group office.

• Perform workload and team management including QA/QC, fee proposals, and task management.
• Reconcile invoices and change orders with general contractors, sub-contractors, and third parties.
• Perform Value Analysis and provide bid analysis and post-contract support.
• Develop and nurture client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and support senior management with needed reports.
• Mentor estimating technicians and estimators; train in understanding divisions and construction technology.
• Prepare project plans and participate in peer review processes.
• Engage in risk and value management evaluations; understand project controls and stakeholders’ requirements.
• Participate in industry events and maintain an understanding of the local market; other duties as assigned.
• Attend work during normal business hours.

• Proficient in cost estimating for construction projects; provide pricing expertise in various phases of construction work.
• Strong ability to read and interpret Arch, Civil, Structural, MEP, Geotech, Site Logistics, and Schedules documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with team members and clients.
• Proficient in Excel; technology-savvy with current software tools.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and understand different trades, procurement strategies, and delivery methods.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong research skills and the ability to allocate relevant data; quick analysis and interpretation of detailed information.
• Flexible to work varied hours, including potential weekends or evenings.
• Demonstrates creativity and initiative; builds relationships with peers, leaders, and clients.
• Ability to integrate with other departments and understand how the cost management team fits within projects.

• Education:
  
  BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years in Electrical Cost & Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation preferred.
• Preferred Certification: MRICS, Assoc
  
  RICS, CCP, CEP, CPE or equivalent; ability to read electrical drawings.

The salary range for this full-time role is $-$ per year. This range reflects base salary only and not total compensation. The company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range based on experience and other factors.
