Test Engineer

• Design and manufacture Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for Moog Broad Reach products under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Develop EGSE test systems, including hardware, software, and documentation.
• Work with an embedded Single Board Computer (SBC) that interfaces with custom analog and digital I/O boards for Command & Data Handling (C&DH) in a cPCI form factor.
• Incorporate Electrical Power System (EPS) boards on a custom backplane extension for subsystem power switching and solar array switching/battery charging.
• Select commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) test instruments where practical and design custom test boxes and cabling as required.
• Develop VxWorks test code to run on the SBC using C programming language.
• Create National Instruments LabVIEW VIs for instrument control and monitoring, and a user interface for UUT command and telemetry.
• Develop Python or PERL scripts to automate execution of VxWorks and LabVIEW code.
• Possess familiarity with VHDL for FPGA programming (a plus).
• Maintain assembly, schematic, and parts lists for custom test equipment in the Moog Broad Reach document control system.
• Use Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, and Intercept Mozaix for design documentation.
• Prepare Formal Integration and Test Plans, Environmental Test Plans, and Acceptance Test Procedures to document compliance with all customer and design requirements.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in software development using C, LabVIEW, Python, or PERL.
• Experience with Windows applications such as Visio, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to create cable drawings using Visio.
• Willingness to follow direction and execute assignments as instructed.
• Self‑motivated and proactive in taking ownership of assignments and finding ways to execute on time.

Salary Range (Phoenix, AZ): $85,000.00–$ Annually. The base salary range represents the low and high end of Moog's salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary based on location, experience, and performance.
