Salary: $140,000–$155,000 (flexible based on experience and location)
SummaryOur client, a growing specialty pharmacy focused on rare and complex disease therapies, is hiring a pharmacist leader to oversee Coverage & Access operations.
This role leads the Coordination of Benefits and access team, ensuring patients receive high-cost specialty medications through efficient prior authorization and insurance navigation processes.
What You’ll Do- Lead and grow a Coverage & Access team (3, expanding to
5) - Oversee benefits verification, prior authorizations, appeals, and claims workflows
- Build SOPs, train staff, and standardize access processes
- Monitor intake metrics and optimize workflow performance
- Serve as the insurance navigation subject matter expert
- Partner with pharmacists, providers, and payers to resolve access barriers
- Support accreditation and regulatory compliance

D required - Leadership experience
- Active NY or AZ pharmacist license
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Prior authorization and benefits investigation expertise
- CSP preferred
Transplant immunosuppressive therapies;
Rare and orphan diseases (HAE, PKU, alkaptonuria, primary periodic paralysis).
This is a growth‑stage leadership role. The right pharmacist will help build structure, train teams, and scale access operations in an expanding specialty pharmacy.
