We're hiring an experienced pharmacy technician for a contract job in Gilbert, AZ at a hospital where your expertise will directly support pharmacists in delivering exceptional care. In this position, you will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive the medications they need by assembling, stocking, compounding, and distributing them with precision and care.
Minimum Qualifications- Active Pharmacy Technician licensure in the state of practice or active Pharmacy Intern licensure.
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification as required by the state or employer.
- Incumbents in Arizona must provide AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
- Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience, including experience with packaging, distribution, non‑sterile and sterile compounding.
- Experience preparing compounded intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapeutic agents in compliance with USP and standards.
- Experience with automated dispensing technology management and barcode scanning verification devices.
- Ability to perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand‑held calculator.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of a personal computer.
- PTCB certification preferred.
- Experience training or providing indirect supervision to pharmacy technicians, trainees, or externs.
- Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment.
- Shift hours: 01:30–22:00.
- Position may require off‑site travel and floating to other facilities as needed.
