We're hiring an experienced pharmacy technician for a contract job in Gilbert, AZ at a hospital where your expertise will directly support pharmacists in delivering exceptional care. In this position, you will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive the medications they need by assembling, stocking, compounding, and distributing them with precision and care.

• Active Pharmacy Technician licensure in the state of practice or active Pharmacy Intern licensure.
• Active Pharmacy Technician certification as required by the state or employer.
• Incumbents in Arizona must provide AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
• Minimum of two years pharmacy technician experience, including experience with packaging, distribution, non‑sterile and sterile compounding.
• Experience preparing compounded intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapeutic agents in compliance with USP and standards.
• Experience with automated dispensing technology management and barcode scanning verification devices.
• Ability to perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand‑held calculator.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of a personal computer.

• PTCB certification preferred.
• Experience training or providing indirect supervision to pharmacy technicians, trainees, or externs.
• Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment.

• Shift hours: 01:30–22:00.
• Position may require off‑site travel and floating to other facilities as needed.

This role supports pharmacists by managing medication inventory, compounding sterile and non‑sterile products, maintaining automated dispensing systems, handling controlled substances per regulation, and completing required documentation.
