We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) to join our team and help us in our mission to foster a nurturing and inclusive educational experience.

Position Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and qualified School-Based Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) to deliver high-quality behavioral support to students with diverse needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing individualized behavioral intervention plans, supporting students in their academic and social development, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Behavioral Intervention: Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Monitor and record students' progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Support and Instruction: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to improve behavior, social skills, and academic performance. Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based techniques to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate behavioral strategies into the classroom environment. Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and provide input on behavioral goals and strategies.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Accurately record and analyze data related to students' behavior and progress. Prepare reports for the BCBA, IEP meetings, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in behavioral intervention and special education. Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Certification: Current Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associates or Bachelors degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working with children in a school or therapeutic setting. Experience implementing ABA techniques and working with students with behavioral challenges is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of behavioral intervention principles and techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and adapt to the needs of students.
