Job Description
Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist where you’ll work with students across three high school campuses, making a real difference in their academic and personal growth. This full-time, fiscal-year contract role offers you the chance to collaborate with dedicated education professionals while supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 60-70 students with mild to severe disabilities, including articulation needs, ASD, and those enrolled in adaptive cluster programs.
Your primary site will focus on about 50 students, with additional service across two other high schools to round out your caseload. This collaborative and supportive environment is ideal for professionals who thrive in varied settings and are passionate about providing impactful interventions.
DesiredQualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active standard teaching certification required for school settings
- Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in educational or school-based SLP roles preferred
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability, especially with itinerant assignments
- Ability to engage with students presenting a spectrum of disabilities and communication challenges
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse student population
- Provide therapy services to help students achieve educational goals and improve communication skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and families
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between assigned high school sites as part of this itinerant role
