- Build relationships and demonstrate the clinical outcomes and benefits of Novo Nordisk products
- Provide medical information and educate healthcare providers and relevant healthcare organizations
- Coordinate education workshops and regional educational programs
- Explore and identify clinical trial sites as directed by leadership
- Serve as a scientific liaison between Novo Nordisk and key external customers
- Provide advanced product, scientific, and medical field support to Medical, Sales, Marketing, Managed Care, and Government teams
- Report to the Field Director/Senior Field Director
- Represent the organization externally to clinicians, professional societies, academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, and managed care organizations
- Complete administrative duties, manage regional business and operational budgets, and submit monthly reports
- Attend and present at medical and scientific meetings
- Develop relationships with healthcare providers, academic centers, investigators, and formulary influencers
- Gather customer insights on Novo Nordisk and competitor products
- Identify and recruit qualified investigators for company-sponsored activities
- Prepare and review training materials and train sales representatives on product knowledge
- Mentor new hire and junior Field Medical Affairs colleagues
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Clinical Research Associates, and internal stakeholders on scientific strategies and clinical education
- Coordinate and facilitate clinical studies, including site initiation, patient recruitment and retention, investigator support, and publication of results
- Develop and present product, scientific, and formulary updates
- Facilitate submission of pharmacoeconomic, outcomes research, and investigator-sponsored studies
- Doctoral degree required
- Minimum of five years of experience in a health related system, pharmaceutical company, or managed care environment
- Four years of demonstrated success in a field medical liaison role required
- Relevant clinical and/or therapeutic experience preferred
- Business acumen/knowledge based on experiences such as participation in formulary process decisions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills required
- 50-75% overnight travel required
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and remain within Novo Nordisk's motor vehicle record points threshold
- Territory is AZ, NV, UT, NM
Demonstrates expertise in building relationships with healthcare providers and delivering clinical education, while effectively coordinating clinical studies and managing operational budgets. Possesses strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape.
