We’re hiring a Restaurant Host to Live. Work. Explore. just one mile from the entrance to the iconic south rim of Grand Canyon National Park!

The restaurant host welcomes guests, manages reservations or wait-lists, seats customers with menus, answers calls and questions, and assists staff as needed.

Position Type:
Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $16.00 Hour

Schedule:

Typical schedule is 32-40 hours, 5 days per week (will include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

• Continually focus on providing exceptional guest service as a primary goal.
• Greet the guests as they approach the podium and make them feel welcome in the dining room.
• Seat the guest(s) as quickly as possible or if table is not immediately available accurately informing the guest(s) of how long the wait period will be.
• Keep the seating chart current and seat guests in a proper flow in the sections so as to not over seat any sections.
• Keep menus clean and presentable and discard any menus that are too worn or tattered.
• Be knowledgeable with all dining room floor sections.
• Report any guest complaints and/or issues immediately to the Service Manager or Unit Manager. Respond to such in a professional, sincere manner.
• Complete opening and closing side duties according to dining room standards.
• Maintain seating log to ensure accurate cover count for the seating period.
• Assist servers as needed to clear and set tables.
• Adhere to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements include:

Constantly: stand and walk.

Frequently:
Handle items and reach outward.

Occasionally: sit, reach above shoulder, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and push pull up to 100 lbs.
