What You Will Do

You will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls (JCI) principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. You will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity, and ensuring employee compliance with JCI policies in a manufacturing facility.

You Will Do It
  • Ensure the Human Resource Department complies with federal and state laws regarding employee files, terminations, and resignations.
  • Follow up with all resignations to gain a deeper understanding of why the individual is resigning and email tracking of employee turnover to the HR Manager.
  • Ensure effective exit interviews are conducted with office staff and front‑line staff; complete and accurately fill out the Exit Checklist and file appropriately upon completion.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are maintained and up to date in accordance with all federal and state legislation.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date, and complete personnel records.
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all front‑line employee questions or concerns.
  • Assist in monitoring the HR Confidential mailbox.
Required Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking.
  • Continued education or degree in Human Resources or related field, or comparable work experience.
  • 1–2 years of HR experience.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of principles and practices of human resources.
  • Experience with an HRIS system and ability to navigate confidentially within the system.
  • Detail oriented and flawless execution mindset.
  • Excellent at developing collaborative relationships within a diverse group of leaders with varying styles.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday and UKG.
  • Payroll experience using ADP and Kronos.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Compensation

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000–$85,000. This position includes a competitive benefits package. Salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data.
