You will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls (JCI) principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. You will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity, and ensuring employee compliance with JCI policies in a manufacturing facility.
Howyou will do it
- Must ensure the Human Resource Department complies with Federal and State laws regarding employee files, terminations, and resignations.
- Follow-up with all resignations to gain a more in-depth understanding as to why the individual is resigning. Email tracking of employee turnover to the HR Manager.
- Ensure effective exit interviews are conducted with office staff and front-line staff. Fill out fully and accurately the Exit Checklist and ensure that the form is filed appropriately upon completion.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are maintained and up to date and are in accordance with all federal and state legislation.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete personnel records.
- Communicate to internal stakeholders regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations.
- First point of contact for all front-line employee questions or concerns.
- Assisted in monitoring the HR Confidential mailbox.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking
- Continued Education or Degree in Human Resources or related field or comparable work experience
- 1-2 years of HR experience
- Requires basic knowledge and understanding of principles and practices of human resources.
- Experience with an HRIS system and ability to navigate confidentially within the system.
- Detail oriented and flawless execution mindset.
- Excellent at developing collaborative relationships within a diverse group of leaders with varying styles.
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Experience with Workday and UKG
- Payroll experience using ADP and Kronos
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
$70,000-$85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
