Position: TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with the HR team and hiring managers to facilitate the successful employer branding/attraction, recruitment, onboarding, and retention of new team members. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for recruiting and outreach efforts across the organization. This position will be assigned to projects or tasks in alignment with the company's Human Resources strategy. The role will report to the VP/Director of HR.

This position is full-time and onsite and requires regular in-person attendance at the assigned Phoenix Defense location.

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive and influence Phoenix Defense employer branding and candidate attraction practices.
  • High volume full life cycle of recruitment and pre-employment onboarding for a variety of technical, manufacturing, engineering, and corporate positions, including but not limited to Assemblers, CNC Machinists, Software Engineers, and corporate and technical roles.
  • Work with hiring managers to define required skills and behaviors, current and future positions.
  • Help facilitate interview and feedback processes, driving tools that elevate technical screening processes.
  • Facilitate New Employee Orientation, providing new hires with a welcoming and informative introduction to Phoenix Defense, company policies, benefits, and resources.
  • Build strong, diverse pipelines of quality talent for various positions across the organization.
  • Continuously and proactively advance processes for candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team with the development and administration of the company's internship program.
  • Cultivates relationships with staffing agencies, colleges, universities, and other targeted outreach organizations to ensure a diverse pipeline of candidates.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical and/or human resources field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of recruiting experience, with prior experience in high volume recruiting or staffing required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Possess strong administrative, planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient to advanced knowledge and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles, and skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:
  • Experience recruiting across a variety of functions, including manufacturing, engineering, technical, corporate, and military/veteran talent, is highly preferred.
  • Military or veteran background and knowledge of the Department of Defense (DoD); veterans and transitioning service members are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense (DoD) Skill Bridge Program and its requirements and processes preferred.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and willingness to support team and organizational priorities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must have high initiative, integrity, strong work ethic, good communication and critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed emotional intelligence and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of enterprise and HR software
  • Knowledge of technical backgrounds
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
