Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the IT Applications Analyst III position.
The IT Applications Analyst III reports to the IT Applications Supervisor. This role establishes, administers, and manages data, workflows, and systems while advising management on risks to the Town. It involves managing vendor and stakeholder relationships and requires excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include developing end-user workflows and customizing software applications like ERP, Public Safety Systems, or municipal service platforms to meet customer needs.
This lead role works with considerable independence in technical support areas under general supervision. Duties also include developing backend database and application procedures compatible with current systems, and researching new business approaches through thorough testing and documentation.
- Manage and maintain data and processes for key applications like ERP, public safety systems, or municipal service platforms, including workflow, configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Serve as project manager for application upgrade and implementation process.
- Provide Tier II and III support across critical Enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and implement enhancements.
- Analyze business processes, including exploration, definition, and solution identification.
- Read, understand, and interpret best practices and regulatory requirements as needed.
- May include responsibilities for contract and budget management as needed.
- Lead and/or participate in training of staff (both municipal and IT) on use of application and new features.
- Conduct system updates, backup, and disaster recovery, and maintain update processes.
- Work to create reports for managing work and data using reporting tools.
- Proactively identify potential system improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position is in a hybrid work environment requiring two scheduled days on-site a week. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; as such, the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point. Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid) Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona by hire date.
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime compensation.
Minimum Qualifications &Special Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field OR a combination of appropriate certifications and / or years of experience.
- 5 years of application administration and configuration.
- 7 years of Information Technology industry experience.
- 5 years of Enterprise Application Support.
- 5 years business process analysis and project management.
- 3 years of SaaS environment support experience.
- The Public Safety Team position requires at least 3 years of experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Employment with the Public Safety Team is contingent upon successfully passing a police background check.
- Valid AZ Driver’s License.
- Information technology terminology, practices, and procedures.
- Municipal government operations and interdepartmental workflows.
- Regulatory requirements and data to sufficiently pass annual audit (PCI, PII, HIPAA, CJIS, etc.).
- Basic network administration principles and practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitation of meetings to cover workflow process, project(s) status, and sharing information.
- Interpreting business processes and requirements to align with technology as well as translating technology for non-technical audiences.
- Leadership via influence.
