Position: Operations Technician I

The Verra Command Center (VCC) provides 24‑hour, 7‑day, year‑round technical support and oversight for roadside monitoring and enforcement implementations across the United States and parts of Canada. The Operations Technician will work within the Regional Operations team to support our nationwide network, handling remote troubleshooting, device monitoring, and ensuring uptime for all VCC‑managed equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all account documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with advisors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Coordinate with the VCC Support teams—including managers, supervisors, and technicians—for remote technical support, downtime reporting, and tracking of remote equipment.
  • Maintain VCC documentation and databases with meticulous detail to keep records accurate and up to date.
  • Work all shifts in a 7x24x365 environment, including rotating on‑call coverage.
  • Review existing Red‑Light Camera locations, including still images and video, to ensure equipment is functioning properly and images are of the highest quality.
  • Work independently in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Manage multiple tasks on time, including ticket administration, communications, and follow‑up activities.
  • Learn in an on‑the‑job training environment.
  • Participate in planning, daily stand‑ups, and backlog sessions.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve our service offering.
  • Adhere to customer‑specific procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as well as team KPIs.
  • Provide expert work‑order management through driving, following up, and closing assigned trouble tickets.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field, and/or two (2) years’ experience in Operations, Remote Troubleshooting, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Preferred Agile Scrum certification (Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Scrum Fundamentals).
  • Preferred experience in scripting or programming languages such as Power Shell, Visual Basic, or Python.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computing and data troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network and remote system troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data management and information technologies.
  • Experience in accurately and reliably interpreting data for determining appropriate action.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities.
  • Preferred advanced skill and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and additional applications such as Power BI Pro, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Successful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment.
