Position: Enterprise Application Program Manager

Job Summary

Under the direction of IT leadership, the IT Applications Program Manager has overall responsibility for application implementation management, process development, and technical coordination.

The role supports integrated projects and strategic initiatives through collaboration with Honor Health stakeholders and IT leadership, working closely with applications and technology teams while communicating effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Below are the essential functions for this role.

  • Implementation Management – Plan and coordinate application implementations, version upgrades, vendor update packages, and application enhancements; ensure compliance with release and change management procedures, and contribute to the Application Portfolio strategy.
  • Process Development, Ownership, and Oversight – Develop and own IT Applications processes for key functions, provide ongoing improvement of application implementation methodologies, mentor staff, and champion best practices.
  • Technical Coordination – Translate project goals into detailed application and technical tasks, monitor task completion throughout the project lifecycle, act as liaison between application and technical resources, and manage environment strategy, usage, and operations.
  • Teamwork, Collaboration, Professionalism, and Leadership – Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, prioritize needs, set expectations, lead functional reviews, work within a matrix resource environment, anticipate problems, and provide solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with Honor Health policies, procedures, Mission, Vision and Values.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience
  • Required:

    8 years of healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience demonstrating advanced understanding of workflow processes and tools used in application deployment and development.
  • Preferred: 5 years of healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience; experience in Program Management; experience with IT Infrastructure fundamentals; other relevant experience.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – Preferred
  • Six Sigma or Lean Certification – Preferred
  • Epic Certification – Preferred
  • ITIL/SRE – Preferred
